Umesh Korde is a research professor in environmental health and engineering. His research focuses on wave energy, ocean sensing, wave-body interactions; complex systems dynamics, resilience; applications spanning multiple disciplines, from energy-systems resilience to public health.
He received a BTech at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 1982; an MEng at the University of Tokyo in 1988; and a PhD at the University of Notre Dame in 1993.
