The Ralph O’Connor Sustainable Energy Institute (ROSEI) at the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) is seeking faculty candidates at all levels with interests in materials for energy, sustainable chemistry, energy storage, energy harvesting, photo/electro/energy-catalysis, carbon capture, carbon transformations, sustainable fuels, fuel cells, solar cells or other solutions directed towards developing and maintaining sustainable energy for the planet. Candidates may utilize experimental and/or computational frameworks in their research. Applications from candidates with expertise in other methodologies or applications relevant to sustainable energy are also welcomed.

ROSEI is a new university-level endowed institute with 10 core and over 40 affiliated faculty (  This position provides an opportunity to develop a world-class program in materials and/or chemical transformations for sustainable energy as part of this new Institute, whose purpose is to place JHU in the forefront of research and policy to support the energy transition. The position is one of several faculty to be hired into ROSEI. Appointments will be made in the appropriate school and department within JHU. The search committee includes representatives from Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Chemistry, Civil and Systems Engineering, Environmental Health and Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Materials Science and Engineering.
