Centers

The Ralph O’Connor Sustainable Energy Institute (ROSEI) is home to centers of different sizes, funding levels and research focuses. ROSEI’s centers range from ones that have international academic institutions and government agencies as partners, those whose collaborators are strictly domestic, as well as ones that are solely based at Johns Hopkins University.

The topics ROSEI’s centers are aiming to address include:

  • Developing computing, economic, engineering, and policy methods and tools to enable a 100% emissions-free power grid
  • Expand the offshore wind industry and provide greater opportunities for people and businesses to participate in the growing clean energy economy
  • Merge technical analysis of net-zero supply chains —those that aim to completely offset or eliminate greenhouse gas emissions— with the study of net-zero industrial policies
  • Training the next generation of engineers, political scientists and economists focused on climate change
