
Julie Lirot
Julie Lirot has worked as the academic program coordinator for the Ralph O’Connor Sustainable Energy Institute (ROSEI) since January 2025.
Lirot leads ROSEI in a variety of key areas, including but not limited to:
- Supporting the AI-Driven Advancements in Microelectronics (ADAM): an NSF NRT Trainee Program from Johns Hopkins University and Morgan State University, as well as the REU Site: Research on Sustainable Energy Technology and Systems (ROSETAS) program
- Coordinating professional and social meetings
- Creating and maintaining the website for the ADAM program
- Obtaining Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval for ROSETAS REU program
- Supporting the Masters of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM) ADAM educational track
Lirot has previously been a faculty member in the Department of Modern Languages. She also served as assistant director for both the Center for Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence of the Carey Business School and the Undergraduate Research, Scholarly, and Creative Activity of the Krieger School of Arts and Science.
Lirot received her PhD and MA in Latin American literature from the University of Arizona. She received her BA in Spanish from Michigan State University. Lirot is projected to finish her MBA from JHU’s Carey Business School in March 2025.
