
Wick Eisenberg
Wick Eisenberg has been the communications lead for the Ralph O’Connor Sustainable Energy Institute (ROSEI) since January 2022 and currently holds the title of communications associate.
Eisenberg leads ROSEI in a variety of key areas, including but not limited to:
- Updating the ROSEI website with written content ranging from research being done by faculty and students to institute news
- Maintaining ROSEI’s website
- Managing the institute’s social media presence, which currently includes LinkedIn and Blue Sky
- Promotion and assistance for a variety of ROSEI events, including aiding in the efforts of the institute and the Whiting School of Engineering (WSE) being a premier sponsor at the annual ARPA-E Innovation Summit
- Managing the institute’s internal and external communications, highlighted by ROSEI’s biweekly newsletter and funding digest efforts
His first role at Johns Hopkins University was with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering as a communications specialist from January 2019 to December 2021. He came to Hopkins from the sports media world, previously creating written content for the NFL franchise the Baltimore Ravens and covering high school sports for CountySportsZone.com and Press Box.
Eisenberg was the recipient of a Whiting School of Engineering Staff Excellence Award in 2024. He also received a Best in Baltimore Award from Baltimore Magazine in 2018 for his work covering high school sports for Press Box.
Eisenberg received his bachelor’s degrees in English and political science from St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
