The US EPICS Summit – which is happening from 8 AM – 6 PM on January 16 at JHU’s 555 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC – will bring together US researchers and industry representatives and will aim to foster collaboration and connections across the EPICS community and with our partners. The topics for the EPICS summit will be related to the ongoing research:
- AI for Energy and Energy for AI – related to Thrust 1 activities
- Advances in Energy Markets and Policy – related to Thrust 3 activities
- Planning for Net Zero Transition under Uncertainty – related to Thrust 4 activities
The Electric Power Innovation for a Carbon-free Society (EPICS) Center is an NSF Global Center for use-inspired research addressing global challenges in climate change and clean energy. EPICS includes Johns Hopkins University Georgia Tech, University of California-Davis and Resources for the Future in the US, Imperial College London , University of Strathclyde and University of Edinburgh in the UK, and and University of Melbourne, CSIRO and Monash University in Australia.
